Hey there,

I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE SOMETIMES WE NEED A CO-PILOT ON OUR JOURNEY TO BUILDING A LIFE WORTH LIVING.

As a therapist I aim to provide a holistic and eclectic approach as a means to best fit my client’s needs, with focus on creating a collaborative, safe, and empowering relationship through strong rapport building, unconditional positive regard, psychoeducation, and validation. You are the expert when you share your time with me. I strive to meet you where you are at and turn any ambivalence towards change into a unique goal tailored to fit your needs, which may include blending complementary elements from different therapeutic models.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and have experience providing informed Dialectical Behavior Therapy with focus on skills training/building (DBT-Informed), Narrative Exposure therapy (NET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Substance Use Counseling, and informed Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS-Informed). I additionally enjoy drawing (pun potentially intended) from my art & design background and incorporating creative/expressive arts exploration in sessions. I enjoy working with teens and adults dealing with barriers and stressors related to trauma, sexual, romantic and gender identity, self-image & self-worth, neurodiversity, substance use, self-harm, anxiety, specific phobias, academic stress, and life transitions.

Outside of work, I can often be found drawing on my Wacom tablet, writing out short stories and character designs, and listening to copious amounts of music--often simultaneously. I am an avid cyclist in the warm months, enjoy being outdoors as much as possible, enjoy video games & games in general, knitting, canoeing, comics & graphic novels, tracking severe weather (would love to tornado chase someday), and cooking complicated and time-consuming soups as a form of mindfulness.

Education: I received my Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from Michigan State University and my Bachelor's Degree in Art & Design at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (Go Gophs!)
