Hey there,
I BELIEVE THAT COMMUNITY IS A BASIC NEED AND THAT NO ONE SHOULD FEEL ALONE IN THEIR IDENTITY.
My goal as a therapist is to help my clients come to a better understanding of themselves, who they want to be, and how they want to live their lives. My primary area of focus is working with clients who are members of the LGBT community, particularly transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals. I consider it an honor to be able to support members of my community.
I work with teens and adults and am especially interested in helping transgender clients navigate their identities and access gender-affirming care. I’m experienced with writing letters of support that adhere to the WPATH standards of Care. I also specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, autism, and life transitions.
I gravitate towards a person-focused and trauma informed approach with clients and have experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
In my free time, I like to play video games, board games, and role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons. I also enjoy building and painting miniatures, and spending time with my bearded dragon Garth.
Education: I received my Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from The University of Michigan.
