I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF CONNECTION TO CHANGE AND THAT NO ONE SHOULD FEEL ALONE.
Life can be challenging and we all have a set of life experiences that impact how we see the world and ourselves. As a person-centered therapist, my goal is to walk alongside each person, listening with empathy, respect and understanding to empower individuals so that they can make the change they wish to see in their lives. I have a passion for working with adults and specialize in sexual assault, domestic violence, college students, life transitions, trauma and anxiety.
Therapy should be a place free from judgement. I strive to create a safe space where clients can feel supported in their growth and healing, and be able to be themselves. Some of the modalities I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.
When I am not at work, you can find me exploring new coffee shops – I am a sucker for a seasonal flavored coffee – spending time with my fiancé and two cats, crocheting a new sweater, embroidering, or taking a walk to the farmers market!
Education: I completed my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Michigan and my B.S. in Psychology from Central Michigan University.
