Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES A SAFE SPACE WHERE THEY CAN FEEL HEARD, SEEN, ACCEPTED AND KNOW THEMSELVES MORE FULLY.
As a therapist, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship and working together with each client to meet their goals. I use a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to create a non-judgmental space where individuals can feel safe, be challenged, and grow, laughing along the way. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and am bilingual in Spanish/English.
I am passionate about working with older adolescents, young adults, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, life transition struggles, stress management, interpersonal skill needs, difficulties with self-esteem, identity/racial identity development, and other issues. Further, I have a special interest in working with bicultural folks and supporting those navigating the unique challenges this brings.
I have training in evidence-based treatments and can incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness practices, and am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Together we can determine what approach will best meet your needs on your journey towards achieving your goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our families. I like playing video games, board gaming, watching movies, resin crafting, and traveling while searching for new dining experiences and coffee shops.
Education: I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Spring Arbor University and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hunter College in New York City.
