Hey there,

I BECAME A THERAPIST TO EMPOWER, CREATE SAFETY, AND HOLD CONNECTIVE AND ACCEPTING SPACE FOR FOLKS I AM FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO WALK ALONGSIDE.

I am deeply passionate and grateful for the opportunity to support folks through a journey of connection, self-celebration, and deeply held understanding of themselves. I greatly enjoy working with pre-teens, teens, and young adults. I specialize in working with folks on the beautiful LGBTQIA+ kaleidoscope and seek to provide support in healing the impact of these valuable truths on their connections with others and themselves. As someone identifying within the LGBTQIA+ community, I am humbled by the ability to support others exploring their gender/sexuality and building a life worth authentically living.

I further specialize in working with folks on their experiences of trauma, especially religious trauma and trauma in childhood, and have a wealth of experience and training in working with individuals impacted by intimate partner violence. I employ Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play and expressive arts-based approaches, and Gender Affirming Therapy. I have experience engaging the family in the therapeutic process with young people and have worked for many years with young people experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, loneliness, dissociation, PTSD, life transitions, and strained familial relationships. Throughout therapy, I hope to infuse your creativity into the therapy room and seek to meet you where you dare.

When not at work, I enjoy fiddling with and providing care for my growing plant collection and adore playing copious amounts of board games / video games with loved ones. On a typical weekend, you may find me traveling and dining out with my partner, reading in my hammock, or finding new coffee shops to adore.

Education: I have a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) specializing in both Violence and Injury Prevention and Sexual Health from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from Grand Valley State University.
