Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT EACH PERSON DESERVES TO BE HEARD AND VALUED AT EVERY STEP OF THE THEIR JOURNEY.
My goal as a therapist is to meet client's where they are through personal connection and empathy. I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental, supportive, and safe place for others to be vulnerable and explore their journey. I believe everyone is worthy and capable of having a fulfilling life worth living for. I walk the journey with my clients, assist them in seeing their own strengths and victories, big and small, and help them feel safe, nonjudgmentally heard, empowered, and valued.
I work with adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+, harm reduction, life transitions, intimate partner violence, chronic pain, and self image.
I have experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength's Based Perspective, Systems Approach, Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our cat and German Shepherd, Hazel and Dio. You can find me on the weekend with my nose in a book, binge watching documentaries, or cooking and baking for loved ones. I love being in nature and "taking time to smell the flowers."
Education: I received my Bachelor's (BSW) and Master's (MSW) degrees in Social Work from Ferris State University.
