Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF TRANSFORMATION, LIKE A PHOENIX RISING FROM THE ASHES, AND I WANT TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR OWN RESILIENT FLAME.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I offer neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy in a space where your unique perspective is not only understood but celebrated. My personal journey of navigating a neurotypical world has given me profound insights into the challenges and strengths that come with being neurodivergent. I am deeply committed to creating a supportive environment where you can unmask, heal, and thrive, free from judgment and full of empathy. My goal is to help you harness your own inner resilience and transform your experiences into sources of strength and growth.
Drawing from experience and extensive training, I specialize in working with teens and adults who have ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, stress management, emotion regulation, interpersonal skill needs, self-harm, suicidal ideation, LGBTQIA+ exploration, self-esteem difficulties, and substance use disorders. I also provide a safe, non-judgmental space for exploring various aspects of your identity and experiences. While diagnoses can offer useful insights, they don’t define you. My focus is on meeting you where you are and helping you navigate life’s complexities with empathy and humor.
My approach to therapy is influenced by my spiritual connection to the earth, though I do not adhere to a specific religion. I value the role of spiritual and holistic practices in healing and am open to integrating these aspects into our work if they resonate with you. I also respect and honor your unique beliefs and perspectives, ensuring that our sessions are tailored to what feels right for you.
Guided by a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, I incorporate various modalities to tailor our work together, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Art Therapy. This ensures that our sessions are as unique as you are. Whether you’re navigating a major life change, dealing with daily stressors, or exploring aspects of your identity, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Outside of therapy, I’m usually either having heartfelt chats with my garden (my plants are my silent supporters), scouring thrift stores for hidden gems (because thrifting is an art form), exploring farmers markets (for the freshest produce and local delights), diving into creative crafts (my DIY projects are endless), visiting family up north (for some much-needed fresh air and laughter), or being outsmarted by my cats, Josie and Archie, who believe they run the household.
Education: I received my Master’s in Social Work from Michigan State University.
