Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE EVERYONE DESERVES A SAFE SPACE TO TAKE OFF THEIR ARMOR.
As a person centered therapist, I believe each individual is the expert of their own life. I seek to create a safe, non judgmental space for clients to explore their identities and life experiences with compassion and a dash of humor. I use a strengths based approach to empower clients to realize their potential and become their most authentic selves.
I am an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming therapist passionate about working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self esteem, women’s issues, relationship issues, and being neurodivergent in a world designed for neurotypicals. I provide strengths based, affirming autism testing using the MIGDAS-2 assessment tool.
When I am not at work there is a good chance I am moving my body via running, group fitness, or yoga. I love spending time with (and probably annoying) my two kitty cats, Mackinac and Ruthie Bader. I enjoy adventures, trying new things, and yum food.
Education: I received my Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Michigan State University and my Bachelors degree in Comparative Cultures and Politics from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
