Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE HEALING POWER OF HUMAN CONNECTION.
My goal is to provide clients with a comfortable space so they can explore who they are, find their voice, and push their boundaries. I enjoy utilizing my background in theater to empower clients to reclaim their story and write the next chapter--with some humor along the way. We are all experts in our own lives and it is my job to empower clients to meet their goals. I understand that therapy does not exist in a vacuum and believe in the importance of discussing issues through the lens of intersectionality.
I work with adults and couples struggling with trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, depression, chronic pain and illness, self esteem, stress, grief and loss, identity, sex/sexuality, and other issues. I am LGBTQIA+, kink, sex work, and polyamory/ENM allied and affirming. I use the WPATH guidelines for assisting those who are looking to medically transition.
I have experience and training in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Gottman method (couples), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Grief and Bereavement, and Sex Therapy.
When not at work, I love spending time with my partner and our very spoiled cat. I enjoy cooking and baking, weight lifting, yoga, cross stitch, DnD, board games, and friday movie nights. I am lucky to have a vast and varied group of humans in my corner.
Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Michigan State University and my Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts/Psychology from Eastern Michigan University.
