Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO IS ALWAYS IN THEIR CORNER.
Life can be hard; weathering the storm alone is unbearable. It is my goal to walk with each person while providing acceptance, empathy, and honesty as they weather life’s storms. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults and have a heart for working with clients who may be experiencing pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy or parenting struggles, anxiety, life-transitions, grief and loss, birth trauma, NICU/medical trauma, and clients who are seeking faith-based counseling.
I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach to provide a warm, safe, and compassionate environment. Some of the modalities and techniques that I utilize include EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy.
When I’m not at work, you can find me chugging coffee and snuggling my kiddos, spending time with my husband, or delving into books. I also enjoy working out and watching too many documentaries and reality TV shows (which are basically the same thing, if you ask me).
Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Widener University and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University.
