Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST TO HOLD SPACE FOR OTHERS AS THEY NAVIGATE THE TWISTS AND TURNS THAT COME WITH LIFE.
I believe each human has a very unique experience with life, and as a therapist my role is to walk alongside you as you navigate your own life experiences, offering insight and coping mechanisms along the journey. I strive to meet clients where they are currently at in life, and address the issues that my clients bring to the table. I have a holistic approach to care and find it imperative to evaluate how each aspect of a person’s life is being impacted by their actions.
I love to work with children, teens, adults and couples and specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), parenting transitions, miscarriage/infant loss, infertility, trauma, chronic illness/medical trauma, and LGBTQIA+ folks. I especially have a heart for working with new parents as they navigate bringing home a baby and with birthing persons to process the whirlwind of new parenthood. Along with new parenthood often comes a re-evaluation of our relationship with everything and everyone around us (including ourselves). I am also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and the founder and CEO of Next Generation Lactation Service.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children at home completing crafts, going to concerts, or enjoying time outside in nature. When I have time to myself I enjoy doing puzzles and craft projects.
Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University, and my Bachelor’s degree in Community Services from Siena Heights University.
