I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT’S AN HONOR TO JOIN SOMEONE ON THEIR JOURNEY TO HEALING AND WELLNESS.

Everyone deserves a safe and welcoming space to share their story — after all, it’s a very vulnerable place to be. It’s through telling our stories that we’re empowered to heal and grow into the people we’re created to be. As a person-centered and strengths-based clinician, I want you to feel valued, connected, and supported as you share your story with me.

My treatment approach stems from a genuine interest in helping you find balance in your physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being. I use a variety of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Mindfulness. I also offer and love faith-based counseling if preferred. I desire to meet you where you are and walk alongside you to a place where you feel strength and peace.

While I’m a Michigan native, I’ve traveled all over the world, mostly by sailboat. As someone who’s experienced a transient lifestyle, I understand the difficulty of navigating one’s place in the world. It’s my goal to help you give yourself grace and compassion as you find yours. I work with adults coping with depression, anxiety, life transitions, parenthood, perinatal issues, relationship and communication issues, culture shock, and reverse culture shock.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our young daughter going on little adventures, trying new foods, and exploring nature. I love morning coffee, time spent near water, anything travel-related, involvement in my church community, continually trying to perfect sourdough bread, cooking, yoga, and gardening.

Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and my Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and International Development from Calvin College.
