Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE PEOPLE HAVE THE STRENGTH TO GROW THROUGH ANYTHING.
As a counselor, I am dedicated to knowing a person as a truly unique individual. We all have strengths to pull from, and we all have the ability to create a life full of meaning and purpose. Anyone can benefit from counseling, and I want to empower and help people develop skills to promote resilience. I love working with adults and adolescents, specializing in anxiety, emotional eating, disordered eating, body image, trauma, OCD, goal setting, college students, life transitions, and grief and loss.
Everyone’s counseling journey is as unique as the individual. With empathy and warmth, I use a strengths-based and holistic approach to therapy, which I adjust based on the client’s needs. I incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), intuitive eating and a Health At Every Size (HAES)-informed approach as well as striving to give you the tools to help you heal and grow.
Outside of work, you can find me hanging out with my husband and our two cats, Eleanor and Franklin. We like to take everyday adventures such as hiking through the woods, going to the zoo, or combing through record stores for new music. We love to travel, meet new people, and eat great food. My hobbies change with the seasons, but I’m mostly obsessed with tending to my garden, writing short stories, and trying (and failing at) DIY projects from Pinterest.
Education: I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Siena Heights University.
