Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF HEALING AND GROWING THROUGH OUR PERSONAL STORIES IN A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE, AND NON-JUDGMENTAL SPACE.
As a therapist, it is my goal to create a space where I can provide a compassionate and empathetic listening ear while my client navigates through their personal story. I believe that people are experts in their life and each person has their own strengths we can use to implement new strategies for change and growth. Everyone experiences stress, overwhelming emotions, and various forms of trauma throughout life.
My counseling philosophy can be best described as eclectic, person-centered approach as each individual has unique needs. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with unconditional positive regard for my clients that will help facilitate personal growth and empowerment.
I specialize in working with adults, healthcare providers and high-stress professionals, life transitions, secondary trauma, medical trauma, stress management, anxiety and depression, and self-esteem. I spent over a decade in the healthcare field and have a special heart for working with and supporting the helping and healing community.
Outside of the office you can find me hanging out with my son, likely at a lacrosse game or event. We have two kitties, Cookie and Oreo. We love to watch all things Marvel movies (the kitties and my son). We spend as much time as we can up north at our family cabin. I also love to read, take walks while listening to podcasts and binge watch shows on Netflix.
Education: I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Studies at Siena Heights University. I also have an Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology from Lansing Community College.
