Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE PRIORITIZING MENTAL HEALTH IS AN ESSENTIAL KEY TO BUILDING THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE.
I am an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming therapist utilizing a holistic approach. I am passionate about providing counseling services to clients across the lifespan from infant to older adults, that are struggling with trauma, grief, and family conflict/relationship issues. I am also passionate about providing clinical supervision and case consultation services. Everyone has a unique story and deserves and individualized approach to treatment. My preferred modality of treatment is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART); combined with other therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Gottman, Gestalt, and Solution Focused. My style is eclectic with any therapy modality and to have the therapeutic relationship be affirming, solution oriented, and humorous.
Typically, clients have provided feedback to me that one of things they value most about our therapeutic relationship is the focus on information that transcends into tools that can be practiced outside of therapy sessions to achieve the outcomes they are desiring. Mathematics was my Achilles heel during childhood, but in therapy, I have figured out the simple equation that we focus on: Learning Different Things + Doing Different Things = Different Outcomes. I love helping people to change their perspective on difficult things, because when we change our perspective, by default we change our reality! Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidenced based modality of therapy that yields the best results in the shortest amount of time.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to concerts, festivals, movies and theater productions. I have an eclectic taste for media and music.
Education: I received a Master of Art in Counseling and Master of Art in Family Studies, both from Spring Arbor University. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services/Management from University of Phoenix.
