Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE EVERYONE DESERVES A SPACE TO BE HEARD AND TO HEAL IN ALL SEASONS OF LIFE.
My goal as a therapist is to provide you a non-judgemental space for healing. I strive to provide a space that is laid back for clients to delve into any life struggles, learn new ways of coping, and laugh along the way. Our sessions together will be curated to tailor your current needs and goals for therapy. It is my honor to walk alongside you during this season of your life.
I work with children, teens and young adults who need support coping with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, family stressors, and life transitions. I use a strength based approach while utilizing several different treatment modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT (Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I have over 5 years experience as a therapist in working with a wide range of ages and unique family dynamics, however most of my experience and preference is individual therapy with children, adolescents and young adults. Additionally, I have experience working with a wide range of diagnoses in both home/school/ community and intensive outpatient settings in Florida and Michigan.
When not working, I love to travel near and far, whether it is somewhere on a cruise ship in the middle of nowhere or camping up north! I enjoy cooking, gardening, being in nature, and re-watching The Office over, and over again. I also love to spend time with family, friends and my best fur friend, Frankie. Frankie is a maltipoo and you can almost always find her right by my side.
Education: I received my BAA in Human Development and Family Studies at Central Michigan University in 2015. Additionally, I graduated from Michigan State University in 2019 with honors with my Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW).
