Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT HOLDING A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE SPACE FOR OTHERS TO EXPLORE THEIR INNER SELVES, NAVIGATE OBSTACLES IN LIFE, AND FOSTER GROWTH.
Through all of life’s peaks and valleys, we all need someone in our corner for support, to help find our strengths when we lose sight of them, and the right tools to help us through. While there may be tears at times through your journey of growth and healing, know that we are probably going to laugh a lot, too. I believe each person’s experience is unique and important. I’m committed to creating a non-judgmental environment where each person feels they can show up as their authentic self and express themselves openly.
I primarily work with teens and adults, and have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, ADHD, bipolar disorders, stress, and life adjustments. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based approach, and mindfulness.
Outside of work, I can usually be found spending time with my partner and our kids. I also enjoy gardening, curling up with a good book (thrillers are my favorite – love a good plot twist!), spending time outdoors, and watching documentaries.
Education: I received my Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Walden University and my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at Eastern Michigan University.
